Irrigation Operations from the Board President

The Villas irrigation system is up and running.  The power outages we had during recent storms caused the system controller to lose its programming.  WCC has reprogrammed the system and it will run every third night.  The system has 85 zones and over 2,000 individual sprinkler heads.  Irrigation is done at night to get the maximum use of the water before daytime sun and temperatures cause evaporation.  

The recent daytime operations were to map and program the system.  Because more zones were running at the same time than normal, some sprinkler heads were not receiving their full water pressure.  This resulted in some heads spraying only lightly or not at all.  While some overspray is to be expected, if a sprinkler head has been redirected and is spraying the street or a villa wall, notify the villa management as to the address and location of the head (e.g., along the drive, by the patio, etc.).  The contractor will be asked to check the pattern during their next regular monthly maintenance visit to the villas.  Please note that only one visit per operating month is scheduled.
