Villas Landscape Planning Committee

 

Meeting Notes:  September 20, 2007

Discussion Items:

 

Emery brought the group up to date with the recent Board approval of $400 for us to move forward and get the initial design plan for which we had received proposals.  The action has been turned over to Bill Myers of JCA to contact Joe Lefleur and negotiate the official contract

 

The Chair will make a brief presentation to the Board at the open forum on September 27.  The committee discussed a draft of that presentation and offered suggestions.  The presentation is primarily intended to bring the Board and the Community up-to-date on the progress of the LandPlan committee and the future actions we anticipate taking.

 

A summary of resident input has been prepared that provides a snapshot of what community members would (or would not) like to have included in the landscaping plan.  This is a dynamic document and will be updated as new ideas and suggestions are received.

 

Decisions Made:

 

The Committee will return to its regular meeting schedule which is the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday of the month.  The next meeting will be October 11.

 

Action Items:

 

1.      Finalize the briefing for the upcoming Board meeting on September 27 (Emery)

 

2.      Review the Draft of the presentation and provide feedback to Emery as appropriate. (All)

 

3.      Update the summary of resident input that had been prepared for this meeting. (Elaine)

 

4.      Continue to conduct research on available resources for both materials and information. (All)

 

5.      Continue to recruit members for the committee. (All)
