Committee Members Attending:
Ken Blakeley, Franklin Buck, Ken Burke, Janie Cindric, Ann Graf, James Herrera, Cindy Horan, John and Dolores Renninger, Bill Schwab, Bill Spring, Woody Wilmoth
Committee Reports:
· SWM - James Herrera is waiting for a written report on the condition of Pond # 5, the wet pond. Bill Spring talked about the possible future plan for the county to maintain the SWM outlets.
· Roads, Sidewalks, Etc. - Woody Wilmoth reported that his Committee has completed their last walk around the Community looking at concrete defects. That report was turned over to Sylva, who was looking into sidewalk repairs in various areas of the community. The entrance gate posts at Legend Drive have been painted.
· Grounds and Landscaping - Shenandoah has sent a very costly proposal for tree and shrub replacement. Janie Cindric and her Planting and Design sub-committee will take on the task of prioritizing the list. They will consider 1) is it needed, and at this time, and 2) the type of tree/shrub selection.
· Farrar Report - Work began Sept. 28, 2006. They are progressing through the community working primarily on the ground cover; spreading a mixture of compost and top soil and over-seeding. Major work will need to be in the SWM pond along Gladstone, and the SWM pond behind Reston and Shadwell. If the weather holds out, everything could be completed by mid December. If the weather turns too cold, the unfinished projects will be completed in the spring.
· Snow Proposals - We looked at 4 proposals for snow removal. Ken Burke did an analysis of the 4 proposals. The Committee chose Goodfellers Tree Service. The Goodfellers’ proposal will go the Finance Committee for their comments on the wording in the contract. It will then be presented to the Board. Ken Burke and John Renninger will be the Falls Run contacts with Goodfellers.
