Silt is a problem
and may require periodic cleaning.
Roads, Sidewalks, Etc.:
-
Peggy Verdine has
resigned from the Committee because of other commitments. She will be
greatly missed.
-
Woody Wilmoth has
agreed to Chair the Committee.
-
Dennis Ouellette has
identified 3 sites for concrete repair, 37, 41 and 56 Legend Dr.
-
Woody will walk the
community again, check the list again, and look for concrete defects for
Dennis to include in his repair.
-
A worker is supposed
to check the mailboxes, and tighten any loose screws.
Grounds and Landscaping:
-
Defect list sent to
Board on Aug. 4 for action at the August 14 Board meeting.
-
Meeting with Dennis
Aug. 24 to discuss the defect list.
-
Meeting with Farrar
Site Consultants on Sept. 5 who will oversee the work needed to get the
bonds on the common grounds released. PSI (Preferred Services Inc.) and
TDS (Total Development Solutions) are contracted by Farrar to do the
work.
-
The bond work should
be completed in 2 - 3 months.
-
Shenandoah will
continue with the lawn renovation program around the community center.

put on hold until the bond work is complete in each area.
Snow Removal:
·
Thank you Ken
Burke for your input on the Statement of Work that went out to the
prospective contractors.
·
Thank you
Woody Wilmoth for again walking the area identifying all the common
sidewalks that will need to have snow removal.
·
Bids for snow
removal are due in by the end of the month.
Milky Spore:
-
Japanese beetles are
a concern for everyone.
-
Expensive to have a
company come in and apply it to the common ground.
-
Apply it a section
at a time, as time and money allow?
-
Could Board purchase
it and volunteers apply it? Turn it into a community event/party.
Beautification Committee:
-
No interest in this project.
-
In conflict with goals of Property and Grounds because we are concerned
with the common grounds, not the homeowner's private property.
Mission Statement:
-
Mission statement
will be submitted to the Committee liaison, Toni Brown. for the Board’s
approval.
Next meeting: Thursday, October 12, 1:00 pm
