Notes – Communications Committee Meeting, March 6, 2007

 Attendees:  Com Com - Bill Arnst, Len Godek, Norm Kolb, Margie Kramer, Diana Naatjes and Jack Mounts, Chair; Dan Owens, Board; Ann Jones, Sylva Southwell

• Resales Package and FRIS:  Com Com met and discussed with Sylva the status of the Resales Package contents and the parts which were prepared by the Committee.  Pat McCord, a FR realtor, provided input on the administrative processes used for the paperwork accompanying a sale.  Com Com has submitted to Armstrong, for use in the Resales Package, three FRIS forms, and writeups on Falls Run and how to access the Main Gate and a list of important contacts for new residents.  Jim Armstrong is putting together a copy of the Resales Package, including Com Com inputs, for Com Com and Board review.  Sylva said that she had met with Bill Nosal and Paul Niemi to discuss the need for a meeting between the two management companies to address cooperation in developing a FRIS database.  The meeting has, yet, to be scheduled.

• The Directory Subcommittee is planning to release the new directory at the end of May, included in the distribution of the May Gazette.  The new directory will have a clear plastic cover, be spiral bound, and the listings will be double column on each page, as opposed to the single column listings used in the current directory.  Printing enough copies for residents to buy additional copies also is being considered.

• Len Godek, working with the Directory Subcommittee, is putting together the FRIS database, updating the old database with a current list of homeowners obtained from Armstrong, creating the information for the Directory and inputting the emergency contacts for residents from the FR Resident Information Update Forms, and integrating the data from the FR Census into the FRIS database.  When Len completes the database, it will be released to Armstrong for automatic updating via input from the FRIS forms as new residents come into FR. A separate effort, coordinating with Len, will be organized to create the FRIS database after the effort on the Directory Subcommittee is completed.
