Notes – Communications Committee Meeting, July
21
Attendees: Bill Arnst, Len Godek,

Owens, Board liaison, and Ann Jones, Activities Director.
1. The following was
discussed in relation to the Falls Run User Survey:
- The
pre-test of the survey form conducted by members of the Committee was
discussed. Each member
distributed one copy of the survey form to two neighbors, along with a
questionnaire about how the respondent felt about the survey (e.g., length
of time to complete, what they liked disliked about the survey, and items
they would change or do differently.)
The respondents generally liked the form, thought it easy to
complete and suggested only minor changes.
- The draft
RFA for the survey was approved and will be submitted to the BOD on August
2 asking for permission to issue the survey. If approved by the BOD, the
survey questionnaire will reproduced (800 copies to be distributed with
the September Gazette and 100 extra copies on Beige, 20 pound stock).
A short article was written to be placed in the September Gazette
reminding/asking residents to complete the survey. The timeframe for the
return of the questionnaires is September 1 through 15.
A box will be placed in the Concierge area for residents to deposit
their survey forms, the Committee will meet to tabulate the survey
response.
2. The BOD approved the
Falls Run Information System (FRIS) in its working session July 19, and the
committee discussed how best to go about its implementation via Koger
Management. The committee will
meet Monday, August 7, at 10:30 in the Rec Center with Sylva Southwell to
ensure that all details of system implementation are worked out prior to the
general implementation meeting to be scheduled in the future with Koger
Management.
3.
A discussion was held relating to the coordination and follow-up of the
request to the Community Center Committee to improve the environmental
conditions of the audio-visual closet. Jack
and Denzil will be coordinators of the project for the Communications
Committee.
