Community Center Committee Minutes

September 18, 2009

 Members Present: Art Gabler, Kurt Schaffert, Rich Lazanov, Jo Schmidt and Tom Bruns.  Also attending were BOD members Don Horan, Tom Whalen and Jack Mounts.

The meeting was called to order at 1 PM by Chairman Art Gabler.

The August minutes were approved as written.

 Old Business:

Horseshoe Pit: The horseshoe pit has been installed.

Tennis Court Resurfacing: color coat sealer will be applied this year.

Indoor Pool Deck Painting:  the work is complete and the pool was opened at noon today.

Bocce court Repairs:  the committee reviewed a proposal from Tennis Courts, Inc and recommends approval.

Community Center Inventory: The furniture inventory by Jackie and Mary is on going, Kurt will inventory mechanical equipment, Tom has completed a inventory of the fitness center equipment and the communication equipment will be inventoried by the Communication Committee.

Center Hours: the FRCA BOD has approved a change in holiday hours for the center as followes:

            Thanksgiving                      8 AM - noon

            Christmas Eve                    8 AM - noon

            Christmas                            8 AM - noon

            New Year eve                      8 AM - noon

            New Year Day                    11 AM - 5 PM

New Business:

Concierge Desk/Work Station: a proposal from Schiller Enterprises was reviewed.  The committee recommends approval, subject to price confirmation.

Next scheduled meeting will be October 16, 2009 at 1 PM

The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 PM
